About this event

Dear colleagues,Trial Balance (TB) Input Method 2025–26

What is the TB input method? The Trial Balance (TB) input method allows you to automatically post your TB values to the Proformas, based on the mappings you provide

.What is changing? From 2025–26, all entities will move from the Proforma method to the TB input method. This change is being made to address system performance issues caused by the Proforma approach. You will have a full year to prepare.

Purpose of the TB input method working groupTo support you, we have set up a central government TB method working group, recorded helpful videos, and updated our guidance on uploading using the TB input method. The central government TB working group will provide a sector-wide update in September including real-life experiences from central government entities who have already used the TB method. Please register on EventBrite via the link below. There will be opportunities to ask questions and learn from others’ experiences. Many users have found the TB method more efficient and preferable to the previous approach, so we hope you will also find the transition smoother and more beneficial than expected.

Actions for the sessionIf you can, please try mapping your PPE and your Income & Expenditure transactions to the OSCAR codes ahead of the session. If you have any questions or run into issues, feel free to bring them along. Even a partial attempt at mapping your trial balance to the OSCAR Standard Chart of Accounts (SCOA) codes will help you get the most from these sessions. Please note, these sessions will not be recorded.

See you then.
