Centre for Structural Biology (CSB) Open Day 2023
Join us for the annual Open Day for the Imperial College Centre for Structural Biology.
Date and time
Location
Sir Alexander Fleming Building, Imperial College London
Imperial College Rd London SW7 2AZ United KingdomAbout this event
Imperial College's Centre for Structural Biology is a cross-faculty Centre of Excellence that provides an inclusive hub for training and research in state-of-the-art structural biology.
Our annual Open Day brings together researchers at the forefront of structural biology and is an opportunity to showcase exciting new work from our early career researchers.
This year, we are including an early career networking event in the morning with representatives from start-ups and pharmaceutical companies. We have a stellar line-up including co-founders of two Imperial-derived start-ups: Multus and Resurrect Bio, Senior Director of Astex Pamela Williams, UK head of Structural and Biophysical Sciences at GSK Chun-wa Chung, VP and Head of Global Protein Biochemistry at Evotec David Jones, VP of Biology at Avacta, representatives from Alchemab, and Oliver Sims from venture capitalist firm Octopus Ventures.
The afternoon session will follow the traditional format of keynote speakers and selected short talks. We are excited to welcome Elena Seiradake (University of Oxford), Misha Kudryashev (Max Delbruck Center for Molecular Medicine) and Malcolm White (University of St Andrews). I hope you will all join us at the end for a drinks reception and a chance to meet some of our sponsors.
This event is open to Imperial staff, Post-Doctoral Research Assistants and PhDs at Imperial College London.
