Step into a world of folklore and festive creativity at this cosy adult clay workshop, where you’ll sculpt your very own ceramic gonk—a whimsical, Nordic-inspired figure rooted in centuries-old tradition.

In Scandinavian and Nordic folklore, gonks are mischievous but kind-hearted creatures believed to protect homes and bring good luck during the long winter months. Similar to gnomes or hobgoblins, these festive characters are recognised by:• A bulbous nose• A tall, pointy hat (usually pulled low to hide their eyes)• A long white beard

This two-hour workshop is a wonderful way to engage in a hands-on, creative activity while learning about traditional clay crafting techniques.

All items will be fired and will be ready for collection a minimum of 5 weeks after the event.

This is a two-hour workshop, suitable for adults. Booking required.

What You’ll Do

• Craft your own unique ceramic gonk• Receive step-by-step guidance from friendly clay tutors - no prior experience needed• Enjoy a hot beverage while you create• Gonks will be fired and ready to collect at least 4 weeks later, just in time for winter.
