Come and enjoy beautiful examples of Ottoman and Persian ceramic tiles and plates at Leighton House Museum. This workshop with artist Amber Khokhar takes place in the Museum, with its collection of highly decorative, polychrome tiles, mostly from Damascus in Syria dating from the 15th to 17th centuries. Explore the collection by drawing exciting designs and patterns on paper, and use your sketches and studies to paint your own ceramic tile to take with you and fire in the oven at home. For ages 7 to 11 years old.
Session runs until 15.00 with a short break for lunch • All materials are provided.
