Join me for a relaxing morning of upcycling! You’ll make a one-of-a-kind piece of ceramic inspired by birds, you will acquire new creative skills, you will help reduce waste.
I will teach you the technique I use to upcycle my own ceramics using ceramic decals.
I will show you how to apply ceramic decals and how creative you can be with them. All material is provided including the mug. No experience with ceramic or anything is necessary. It's a beginner friendly workshop.
You will get:
- Step by step guidance to upcycle your own mug
- A finished piece you'll be able to take home once it's fired
- 2 hours of creative time in a relaxed atmosphere
- To help reduce waste
Once fired, the mugs will be safe to use for drinks. They will be dishwasher and microwave safe as well.
You will need to come back to Brooklyn Pottery to pick up your mug. I will email you when they are ready.
For this workshop, we will use ceramic transfers of different birds I painted with watercolour for another workshop. If you want to use you own paintings of birds, come to the watercolour workshop on September 11th 10:30am-1pm at Brooklyn Pottery. Here is the link to that workshop. You can book both workshops for a discount price.
