Certainty and Non-Certainty in Religion and Psychoanalysis
Event Information
About this Event
In these difficult times Patrick Casement sees hope as the language of travel. We travel hopefully on our individual journey. He invites us to dare to move beyond ourselves in isolation. In doing so we might stumble upon unrecognised resources within our own hidden depths, with which to respond to the challenges of these times, and begin to find new growth. Or to dare to look towards whatever lies beyond our definitions of life and beyond our own Imagination … beyond our claims of certainty.
Patrick Casement is a Fellow of the Institute of Psychoanalysis and a Member of the International Association of Psychoanalysis. He was formerly a training analyst of the British Psychoanalytical Society, having been in full-time private practice for many years, now retired. He is the author of numerous publications, including Credo? Religion and Psychoanalysis which was published in 2020.
