This 30-hour online beginners counselling skills course is for those who are at the beginning phase of their counselling practice and would like to gain practical, knowledge, and confidence.
During the course, we will explore what the role of the therapist is, how to develop and maintain a therapeutic relationship, and a range of interventions. These seemingly basic skills are the building blocks of all future advanced skills.
Training Overview
In this experiential training, we will consider one piece of theory or a specific intervention, before going into smaller groups to practice the skills we will be learning. With tutors support, you will gain feedback and understanding around both your strengths and what your learning edges are.

Recognition: A Link Centre Certificate in Counselling Skills for 30 hours will be presented at the end of the course.
Course Delivery: Live and interactive via Zoom. The course will encompass breakout groups, practice skills sessions and larger group discussions. Sessions will not be recorded.
Tutor: Link Centre core tutor, Rebecca Davies, PTSTA(P), CTA(P), UKC P Reg. Psychotherapist will be running the training. Rebecca is passionate about skills and facilitating trainees discovering the practical side of being a therapist.
Total cost: £490 (Deposit of £60 to be paid via Eventbrite with the balance of £430 to follow before the start of the course).
