TUC Certificate in employment law is a follow-on course to the Union representatives stage 1. This is not a course aimed at new Union representatives or as a first course in your union education.
You will have undertaken the Union reps stage 1 or equivalent within your trade union.
This is a 10 week long course with attendance of one day per week - 9.30am-4.30pm
In the course you will learn:
· contract law
· redundancy law
· TUPE
· industrial action law
You will be required to produce an end of course project and presentation on a topic of your choice.
The course starts on 16 January 2026 and continues each Friday up to and including 27 March 2026, with a break for half-term on 16 February 2026. Each class will start at 9.30am and finish around 4.30pm.

Also, please be aware that only UK based residents, who have confirmed that they are a union representative from an affiliated Trades Union Congress (TUC) trade union can apply to attend these courses.
