This informative, challenging and wide-ranging Two-Day training course takes place over two successive Mondays (1st and 8th December 2025), and it's drawn from many years of specialist counselling for this type of bereavement.
It is, arguably, the most complex of all bereavements - leaving those left behind bewildered, stunned, devastated and with a host of unanswered questions. The grief from this specific bereavement contains its own set of unique dynamics, nuances and characteristics, which all need to be understood for our supportive approach to be one of competence blended with compassion.
Over the two days, we will explore those unique dynamics and nuances, the impact on the family, the traumatic experience of the coroner's inquest, the impact on children, the challenge of those unanswered questions, existential challenges, and making sense of the loss . The aim is to provide participants with a valuable framework of knowledge that will really enrich their presence when supporting someone bereaved in this way.
