CapCut Video Workshops
Centre for Deaf and Hard of Hearing People (CfD) is hosting two interactive workshops designed to support Deaf and Hard of Hearing people in Bristol to develop digital and creative skills through video-making.
Each 3-hour session will introduce participants to CapCut, a free and user-friendly video editing app, and provide practical, hands-on experience. Guided by a Deaf video creator, Sebastian Cunliffe, attendees will learn how to film effectively using their smartphones, edit clips, and explore features such as adding captions, text, transitions, and templates.
By the end of the workshop, each participant will have created their own short video, building the confidence and skills needed to produce content independently—for example, to promote community groups or events.
Workshops will be fully accessible, with BSL interpreters, live captions, and support staff provided by CfD. 12 participants will attend each session.
These sessions form part of CfD’s ongoing commitment to enabling the Deaf community to engage creatively and confidently in digital spaces.
Free snacks and refreshments will be provided.
