The Chelmsford Film Festival Pass we entitle you entrance to the full festival event schedule. This includes:

Wednesday 7th June
7 - 10pm
Opening night will take place at Chelmsford’s newest and most luxurious cinema, Everyman. There will be a Q&A with industry professionals, Interview with well known actor, and a screening of the world’s first interactive film. Doors open at 7pm where guests will have the opportunity to mingle and load up on refreshments at the bar at Everyman. The Q&A will start at 7.30pm and will include:
Presentation and Q&A - Chris Cook, Framestore
A presentation by one of the VFX lead modellers at Framestore, including a breakdown of the VFX work from Gravity, Doctor Strange and Guardians of the Galaxy, plus highlights from Chris’ work on Beauty and the Beast. Chris will explain how they achieved the amazing shots in these films and answer questions from the audience.
Presentation about Solis by director Carl Strathie and producer Charlotte Kirby
Due for release late 2017, local filmmakers Carl Strathie and Charlotte Kirby will discuss how they accomplished their debut sci-fi feature film, Solis. They will talk about the challenges of making high concept films on a low budget, as well as the current hot topic of women in film.
The Late Shift screening
Following a quick break for refreshments in Everyman’s stylish bar area, Chelmsford Film Festival presents a screening like no other - the world’s first interactive film, The Late Shift (interactive film where the audience determines the ending).
The Late Shift screening was created by Swiss start-up CtrlMovie and written by Sherlock Holmes scribe, Michael R Johnson. The audience’s majority vote will have a knock-on effect as the non-linear story is formed, leading to one of seven outcomes.
PANEL DISCUSSION, Q&A AND NETWORKING

A special industry panel hosted by Chelmsford Film Festival judge, Stella Nwimo. The panel will discuss a variety of issues including making that all important leap from short film to feature film.
The night will also include a presentation by Festival Formula on how to strategise your film’s festival run. Plus networking opportunities running throughout the evening
OFFICIAL SELECTION SCREENINGS

Friday 9th June
6.30 - 10.30pm
Chelmsford Film Festival 2017’s Officially Selected films will be screened at Cramphorn Studio in the heart of the city. Showcasing the best short film in all categories:
Mini Shorts (films under 5 minutes)
The audience will participate as they vote on this year’s best film for the ‘2017 Audience Film Choice Award’.

CLOSING GALA AND AWARDS SHOW
