The Canine & Feline Sector Group (CFSG) is holding its annual Big Tent meeting on the 22nd November 2016 at the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (DEFRA) to bring together all parties with an interest in cat and dog health and welfare.
The purpose of the meeting is to ensure communication and collaboration where possible to drive forward initiatives as well as hearing from smaller organisations and individuals on the key issue and potential solutions to consider. CFSG wil presents its strategic document and ask for views on priorities and ways in which the wider stakeholders could feed into its work.
Speakers will include the Minister, Lord Gardiner, members of the Animal Health & Welfare Board England and the Chairman of CFSG. A full agenda will be published in due course.
The meeting will start at 2pm and will close by 5pm at the latest. There will be workshop and presentation sessions to provide an opportunity for all attendees to speak.

All attendees will be divided into groups which will have been given to them upon registration. They will be given a question relating to a high profile issue for which they will then seek to come up with a 3-point action plan to tackle.
A designated speaker for each group wil then report back to the entire meeting on the outcomes of their action plan.
CFSG will take the action points from each group and will then consider them at their next meeting and look at whether they can be implemented under the Strategy.
