CGCA President's evening and AGM
Mon 12 June 2017, 17:00 – 20:30 BST
CGCA President's evening and Annual General Meeting
Dame Judith Hackitt, DBE, our President for 2016 – 2018, invites you to the Association's 2017 AGM and looks forward to a lively discussion on the future structure of alumni organisations for the Faculty of Engineering.
Dame Judith has been working with RSMA and the Imperial Alumni Development group to look at ways Faculty of Engineering alumni can be more involved with their departments and the alumni organisations. Both RSMA and CGCA are experiencing a low level of new membership and an oft cited reason is that ‘City & Guilds’ is not as recognised as part of the Faculty as it was. Equally the great history and connection with the City of London and the Livery Companies is important as are the traditions that built up in the Old Centralians’ and CGCA. Both need to be addressed by a future structure that is relevant to graduating students and to our current members. This will be the topic of an open, and hopefully frank, discussion that will take place at the AGM. Please come and join us and make your ideas known.
