Description

Friday 1st December 2017 - 8pm

Conductor - Benedict Collins Rice

Piano- Edward Reeve

For the first concert of the 2017/2018 season, the Cambridge Graduate Orchestra plays a programme showcasing 3 great Russian composers; Tchaikovsky, Rachmaninov and Borodin. We will open the evening with Tchaikovsky's Nutcracker Suite and we will be joined by the Cambridge University Ballet Club and singers from Chesterton Community College and The Ely Imps for a truly all singing and all dancing start to the festive season. We will then play Borodin's Symphony No.2. After the interval we will be joined by soloist Edward Reeve, performing Rachmaninov Piano Concerto No. 2, often described as the geatest piano concerto ever written. This is set to be a sell out concert, and one not to be missed, so get your tickets now.
