Chairing and Handling Successful, Productive Meetings
We sometimes have the view that meetings are getting in the way of what we’re really meant to be doing. Yet they are essential in order to make decisions, collaborate effectively, share information, involve everyone who needs to be involved and demonstrate public accountability.
The workshop will cover:
- Planning and preparing meetings
- Beginning well - examining how to open the meeting, set the tone, and establish both the ground rules and your authority as chair
- Leading the meeting
- Working with the group dynamics - using an approach based on Kantor's four-player model
- Ending well
