Suffolk County Council’s Chairman Graham Newman is inviting you to join him on a virtual cycling mission around Suffolk to visit every St Elizabeth shop and hospice in the county, whilst raising much needed funds for this fantastic charity.
St Elizabeth Hospice improves life for people living with progressive and life-limiting illnesses. Their work is centred around an individual's needs, providing specialist support wherever it is needed, in the home, in the community or at the hospice.
St Elizabeth Hospice is an independent charity providing free services. Every year, their services cost £12.9 million to run, 70% coming from the local community. The charity relies on fundraising, donations, and volunteers to keep going.
This is your opportunity to help them continue this vital work whilst taking on a new year mission. Every penny raised from this challenge will go directly to this amazing charity.
Your mission, if you choose to accept it, is to virtually ride 272km around Suffolk starting in Felixstowe and finishing in Ipswich having visited Hadleigh, Stowmarket, Woodbridge, Aldeburgh, Southwold, Beccles. Framlingham and numerous other locations on route.
Simply split the distance over as many days as you like between the 1st February and 31st March and record them on the “My Virtual Mission” platform using the Strava app or simply add your distance manually. Full details on the My virtual mission platform can be found on the website www.myvirtualmission.com
Registration opens on the 1st January 2021
To make your entry donation to the hospice click the green 'tickets' button above. Once you have made your donation you must follow the steps in your confirmation email to complete your registration on the virtual mission platform.
In addition to a massive sense of pride in helping an amazing charity, participants will receive an e certificate signed by the Chairman of Suffolk County Council. Participants will also be entered into a draw to win a pair of VIP tickets to the 2021 Women’s Tour race finish in Felixstowe on June 12th.
