Making a Lasting Difference

5th March 2019, 16:00 - 20:00

Session led by Graeme Reekie, Director, Wren & Greyhound

Organisational Sustainability is about more than just money - but the third sector has always had to operate within strict financial controls and high financial uncertainty.

This practical workshop sets out the wider context of sustainability, focusing on the role trustees can play in sustaining their organisations. It introduces a core set of principles and paradoxes, and the governance practices that help manage organisational responses to these.

We'll look at five core sustainability capabilities (involvement, innovation, improvement, income generation and impact measurement) and the board's role in supporting these. After participating, delegates will be able to identify, frame and take action on their sustainability challenges using a proven sustainability toolkit (www.TheLastingDifference.com).

About the facilitator:

Graeme Reekie is a respected charity specialist with more than 25 years’ experience in the not-for-profit sector. As Director of ‘Wren and Greyhound’ he has been developing research, consultancy and practical approaches to sustainability since 2012. This led to the publication of a unique toolkit called ‘A Lasting Difference’ in 2016, which now has over 2500 copies in circulation.

 Kindly hosted by Lindsays
