In this comprehensive training, you will observe, experience and practice the best that chairwork has to offer psychotherapy and counselling

About this Event

This three day intensive training event is designed to give clinicians the skills and confidence needed to deliver chairwork confidently and competently in their everyday clinical practice.

Drawing on a variety of therapeutic approaches, participants will experience and practice the most effective chairwork interventions, and learn how they are applied to a variety of common client issues. Emphasis will also be placed on how to adapt chairwork in online therapy.

This training event will outline the theory and practice of chairwork using a our unique blend of didactic teaching, self-practice exercises, live demonstrations, and breakout room role-plays.

… Foundations: The four ‘pillars’ of chairwork and dialogical psychotherapy.

… Mechanisms: Why chairwork achieves dramatic changes.

… Magic ingredients: How to maximise the effectiveness of chairwork.


… Introducing, facilitating, and consolidating change through chairwork.

… Enhancing client engagement and positive responses to chairwork.

… Overcoming common obstacles, including client resistance.

… Adapting and enhancing chairwork using digital platforms such as Zoom.
