Event description

Description

In this introduction to chalk sign writing session in our Borough studio, the talented Martha Paton will teach you the techniques you need to be able to make your own sign on chalk board using chalk pens, like you see around London.

You will be brought through the alphabet of a suitably stylish font and then shown different layouts, designs, techniques and images, before having a go at designing your own inspiring A4 chalkboard using chalk and white chalk pens, which you'll be able to add some colour to with coloured chalk pens.

The black 'chalk' board is synthetic and non-porous, like the pros use, so that it can be wiped and re-used again and again.

You'll leave having created your own inpsiring A4 chalk board, perfect for displaying at home, on your desk or as a gift! This class is ideal for beginners and you'll get to keep your A4 chalkboard, plint to hold it in, white chalk pen and white chalk - so you can change it up at home if you like.

Oh, it's also BYOB - yes!

Capacity is limited to ensure you feel nice, relaxed and get enough guidance. Do bring your own quote along with you if you have one in mind.

"Excellent evening! The tutor was great, gave individualised feedback to each member of the group and was super helpful. Lovely relaxed atmosphere, thoroughly enjoyed!" - Judy
