Challenge Accepted - Cracking High-Mark Maths Questions
Overview
This session is all about aiming higher and tackling the questions that make the biggest difference to your grade. We’ll look at the kinds of problems students often find most challenging across all GCSE maths topics and explore strategies to approach them with confidence.
Furthermore, you’ll get tailored guidance from an experienced maths teacher who specialises in supporting students to next steps, whether that be A-levels, T-levels, an apprenticeship of something else. This session will help you to see how your GCSEs connect to your future, consider your goals (or help you think of some) and perhaps raise your ambitions beyond your current ones.
Suitable for young people, aged 14-16, studying for their GCSE exams at school or at home.
Do you have any needs you think we should know about, and are there ways we can make the session more inclusive for you? Examples might be enlarging the text on handouts/ printing it on a different colour paper; providing movement breaks; a visual timetable of activities. This is your session in your library, so we want to make sure it works for you. Email library.childrens@newcastle.gov.uk to let us know.
