Challenge and Change is BACK!We’ve been moving with intention while grounded in reality — co-designing with The Centre for Knowledge Equity and five brilliant advisers (Ava James, Ali Ghaderi, Chrissie Okorie, Demetri Addison and Ryan Dube) to reimagine Challenge and Change for 2025.
This version is rooted in solidarity, and built with a deep commitment to care, repair, and collective renewal. We're back — bigger, bolder, and more aligned with the movement.
This isn’t just a fund. It’s an act of real talk, equity, and trust — investing in young people who are already doing the work and exploring the alternatives.
This year:
- We’re offering £10,000 grants for a 12-month period
- Open to individuals, collectives or movements led by young people aged 18–25 with direct lived experience of the injustice they’re tackling
- We’ve expanded! We’ll fund 38 changemakers — 13 grants reserved for climate justice work, and 25 for any social justice theme (as long as it’s not oppressive)
