Challenge the Channel 2015

The English Channel. La Manche. You've been over it, you've been under it, now you can go through it.

This is a fantastic team as well as personal challenge but, with the right training, guidance and a splash of enthusiasm, swimming the channel is very achievable.

A relay team consists of 6 swimmers who take it in turns to swim for one hour (without a wetsuit) from Dover to Calais. As the crow flies it is 21 miles but with currents you will swim a little further - the average time for a relay team swim is between 12 and 14 hours. As the swim is tide-dependable you could swim at any time of the day or night!

We ask each individual participant to fundraise £1200 on top of the registration fee.

We have a one week tide slot from 12-18 September 2015. This event is weather dependent, so you will set off on the first good day in the allocated slot.
