Event description

Description

If you’re born into a poorer family, success can seem like an impossible challenge

As part of Teach First's national Challenge the Impossible campaign we would like to invite you to our panel event on Wednesday 24 May at SS Great Britain. The event will be hosted by James Westhead, Executive Director of Communications, Development and Technology at Teach First and we will be hearing from a range of panellists including:

Asher Craig - Deputy Mayor (Communities)

Huw Davies - Independent Non-Executive Director at Wessex Water

Jake Curtis - Director of Programmes and Operations at Jamie's Farm

John Savage - Chairman at Business West

Peter Knight - Principal at Oasis Academy Brislington

We will be discussing topics linked to the recent Challenge the Impossible report and looking at how the South West community can ensure that no child’s dreams should be written off because of their background.

We’re calling on teachers, parents, businesses and government to back our campaign and remove barriers to social mobility, so that all children can fulfil their potential and we very much hope that you can join us.
