- THURSDAY 25th OCTOBER 2018 - Day 1 -
Postgraduate students at the University of Leeds warmly welcome you to continue debates about decolonial thinking and activism in the School of Sociology and Social Policy at the University of Leeds. This event - Challenging Academic Debates:Situating Decolonial Science, Art and Faith in the Syllabus - is part of a chain of events initiated in 2016, forming its third version during the Black History Month2018.
The two day conference is an interdisciplinary and collaborative programme across different topics and areas, and wil include: Roundtables, Panles, Workshops and Artistic Interventions and Performances from a range of Academics, Activists, Artists and Postgraduate students.
Our aim is to continue decolonising knowledge production and praxis to create a future in which 'many worlds fit' and promote decolonial discussions about creating strategies and dialogue(s) to counter coloniality in and beyond academia.
