 HR strategies and legislation update re overseas employees in the light of Brexit

Led by the Chamber's HR professional, this session will deliver an update to our last update on Brexit and HR strategies. All businesses should attend to prepare for both current and upstream legislation, as well as the 'what if scenarios' In addition to this, there will be a very useful and brief introduction from Richmond Council's Citizen's Advice Bureau representative on the impact of current legislation on overseas' individuals.

Business owners, HR professionals and their senior executives are invited to book this session to review the rights of overseas individuals and also their business' people strategies in the light of changing legislation and market conditions. We will be discussing the ‘knock-on’ impact people strategies inevitably have on the wider business strategies and plans - a must-attend seminar.

* Seminar style is workshop and interactive and all matters discussed confidential to attendees and speakers.

York House is a fine 17th-century building, with a fascinating history, set in beautiful grounds on the banks of the River Thames.  There are several rooms available for hire and are suitable for a variety of functions, including weddings, concerts, musicals, plays, fairs and large meetings.

Alison de Lord 

Alison de Lord MA BA (Hons) Chartered FCIPD, built up her considerable experience in Human Resources through leading large HR teams with organisations such as:

Lambeth College, Roehampton University, Westminster City Council, and numerous charity and healthcare organisations whilst working for a Healthcare Consultancy. 

Alison is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Development. Alison is also the Chair of Governors at Carlisle Infant & HamptonHill Junior Schools Federation.

Citizens Advice Richmond is an independent local charity providing information and advice to anyone who lives, works or studies in Richmond borough. Our service is free, confidential and impartial. We aim to empower people to resolve their problems and change their lives for the better. We are a member of the national Citizens Advice service, a network of around 300 local advice centres.

Booking Information: For those booking who do not have a VAT number, please book as an individual and not a business – you can still complete your business details when making your booking. Cancellation Policy: Event booking cancellations are refundable if received 48 hours before the event starts. After 48 hours before the event starts refunds are not payable. 

Exceptions to this policy are as follows:-
Events such as Black-Tie or Special Evening Functions where the Chamber refunds cancelled tickets up to 30 days prior to an event start time. After 30 days prior the event is non-refundable. Exceptions are flagged on the Eventbrite invitation page.
