Event description
A Christian Concern conference not to be missed on 29 - 30 January 2020 at The Hayes Conference Centre, Swanwick, Derbyshire.

About this Event

Championing sexual purity in a pornographic age

We are living in an age of unprecedented sexual revolution. Very quickly, we have moved from acceptance and toleration of LGBT lifestyles to an active promotion of LGBT ideology by government agencies, corporations, and even churches.

Similarly, pornography has gone from being an underground sexual fetish to being publicised and even praised by mainstream media. But it remains an unseen and underdiscussed root of the sexual revolution, damaging lives and relationships and creating addicts who feel trapped and unable to break free. There are porn addicts in most churches, if not in every church, as well as in schools, workplaces, and communities.

Join us as we discuss the roots of the sexual revolution and hear from speakers who have broken free from sex addictions or helped others to break free. Be inspired and equipped to help those we meet who are struggling with sexual purity.

You will be hearing from the following speakers:

Andrea Williams - Chief Executive, Christian Concern & Christian Legal Centre

Ade Omooba MBE - Co-Founder & Director, Christian Concern

Rev. Dr Joe Boot - Head of Public Theology and Director of the Wilberforce Academy, Christian Concern

Michael Phillips - Legal Counsel, Christian Legal Centre

Elisha Kolade - Author, The Cry for Freedom: The Story of a Porn Addict

Gary McFarlane - Senior Therapist, The Kairos Centre

Dr Lisa Nolland - Convenor, Marriage, Sex and Culture Group, Anglican Mainstream

Bishop Michael Nazir-Ali - President, Oxford Centre for Training, Research, Advocacy and Development

Mike Davidson - Chairman, International Federation for Therapeutic and Counselling Choice and Founder, Core Issues Trust

A Conference by Christian Concern

This two-day conference will include lectures with opportunities for questions, aimed at challenging and equipping Christians and the Church to confront the issues we are facing in the midst of this sexual chaos.

This will be an opportunity to network with other Christians who are passionate about promoting Biblical sexual purity in the UK.

We pray that together we can enhance and strengthen the national gospel witness of God’s people.

Deadline to book is Sunday 19th January 2020!
