About the organisers:

The Athena Network: led in Bedfordshire & Mid Herts by Kate Cherry. Business networking and development club for female professionals, our business meetings are predominantly online with ad hoc in person events. Our mission, locally, nationally and internationally, is to amplify women and to transform their lives through creating connections, inspiring success with all the tools, inspiration and networking connections that they need to grow. Celebrating 20 years this year.

Women In Business Network (WIBN): led in Bedfordshire & Hertfordshire by Louise Yexley. Having launched in 2005, the Women In Business Network (WIBN) has a long history of effective networking across the UK - it works. WIBN’s purpose is to create communities of business women who build strong business relationships. Members benefit from referring each other’s businesses, mutual support, collaborations and much more. Louise runs 11 face to face local groups in Hertfordshire and Bedfordshire and has been part of WIBN since 2007 when she ran a marketing business.

Louise is a true believer of collaboration over competition and is delighted to be partnering with Athena and the Bedfordshire Chamber of Commerce

Bedfordshire Chamber of Commerce: represented at this event by Paula Devine. Across Bedfordshire, thousands of people and businesses are members of the Bedfordshire Chamber. Why? Because the Chamber is renowned for helping businesses foster connections, enabling businesses to grow to their full potential. Through networking, marketing, and business support, the Chamber are passionate about helping businesses grow locally, nationally and even internationally.

Frequently asked questions

I'm not a member, can I come?

Yes

I’m brand new to networking, I’m nervous…is this for me?

Of course, we'd love to help you on your networking journey, we can guarantee you'll be welcomed with a smile (lots of smiles!) and given some lovely introductions to our existing members of our organisations who will all want to know about you and your business.

I’m not so local, can I come?

Absolutely, if you enjoy connecting with the networks we can then point you in the right direction for your local Chamber, Athena or WIBN after the event.

I haven’t yet started my business, can I come?

Yes for sure, we love supporting new businesses, many businesses have been born or transformed through our communities, we look forward to meeting you.

I'm looking for a particular sector of connections for my industry, is this for me?

Absolutely. Large or small, new to networking or you've been around a long time, this is for you, the breadth and depth of our networks, and the vast range of industry sectors represented, mean that there are always the right kind of connections to be make over the long term, regardless of industry.

I'm looking for larger companies, not one man bands, is this for me?

For sure, the breadth and depth of industry sectors represented in our communities means that both the smallest and largest of firms can find relevant connections and business relationships. We help our attendees to focus on this rather than selling to the room, for greater success and less "ick".

I'm not free for the whole time, can I still come?

As long as you arrive by 11am and can stay until 2pm yes that's fine, so that you can get the most from it and build relationships.
