Invest in Bristol’s young people
We’re launching our most ambitious campaign to run our unique development programme for 300 young people from disadvantaged areas of inner city Bristol and change lives.
Gala Dinner – the Bristol way
Join us at the City Hall, find out about Babbasa’s unique approach to youth empowerment and discover the personal stories behind our young people.
You will be greeted with a drinks reception, before enjoying a delectable two course meal created by the culinary art masters, Parsnip Mash with all the ingredients sourced within a 50mile radius of Bristol.
We will have halal, vegetarian and gluten free options - we'll confirm the full menu shortly. We will also have a fundraising auction - further details will be announced soon.
This will be a special event where you will experience our young people’s talent first hand, hear personal stories and be taken on a journey with our keynote speakers and Bristol’s Poet Laureate Miles Chambers.
Why is this important for Bristol?
27% of all children and young people in Bristol are known to be living in poverty and deprivation.
We need to unlock the potential of every young person if our local and national economy is to grow and cope with global challenges and competition
What is on the menu?
Meat Option: Roast Breast of Halal Lemon Thyme Marinated Chicken, Rosti Potato, Broad Bean Puree, Jus
Vegetarian Option: Ragstone Goats Cheese Roulade with Beetroot Caviar and Kaffir Lime Leaf
Vegan/Gluten Free Option: Carrot & Corriander Fritters, Warm Salsa, Panzanella
Bowls of Buttered Seasonal Vegetables will be on the table.
Main Option: Vanilla Bean Cheesecake, Gooseberry Compote, Creme Fraiche
Vegan/Gluten Free: Lemon Posset

What is the dress code for the evening? - The dress code for the evening is smart (not black tie).
Will there be a cash bar available? - There will be a cash bar available throughout the evening.
Do I need to bring cash on the night? - Yes, you would need to bring cash with you on the evening as a card machine is not available. However, there is a HSBC Cash point adjacent to City Hall on Park Street.
What are my transport/parking options for getting to the event? - There are two car parks available, College Street Car Oark and Trechard Street Car Park.
How do I enter City Hall? - Due to surfacing works, you can access the building on the ramp to the left.
Will Photos and Video be taken on the night? - Yes, photos and video will be taken throughout the evening. If you would not like to be featured, please ask a member of Babbasa staff on the evening.
Is my registration/ticket transferrable? - You can transfer your ticket if you are not going to be able to attend. Do get in touch with us to discuss this.
Can I update my registration information? - Yes, get in touch or log back in to Eventbrite to change your details or interest.
What is the refund policy? - Unfortunately we are not able to offer refunds for this event.
Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event? - We will have a register, however we advise that you bring your ticket so we can check you in quickly.
