Free business course for Sussex residents to help you start-up your own business.

About this Event

Become your own boss!

The You Can Start-Up course is a 5-day business course for social housing residents that has trained 100s of people for the past two years in Eastbourne, Hastings, Bexhill, Littlehampton and Brighton. We are bringing back our successful online course this November.

The course will cover everything you need to know to kick-start your business the right way:

Monday 23 November

  • 10am-12pm Start-up is easy.
  • 1.30pm-3pm Start-up is free.

Tuesday 24 November

  • 10am-12pm Finding customers.
  • 1.30pm-3pm Create your free website.

Wednesday 25 November

  • 10am-12pm Making sales.
  • 1.30pm-3pm Everything about Marketing.

Thursday 26 November

  • 10am-12pm Planning and creativity.
  • 1.30pm-3pm Social Media for business.

Friday 27 November

  • 10am-12pm Setting up your business, taxes and more.
  • 1.30pm-3pm Review of the week.

About this course. It's FREE thanks to our funders. Places are limited, so make sure to register.

FAQs

What do I need to follow the course online? You 'll need an internet connection and access to a smartphone, tablet, PC or laptop. Bring pen & paper to take notes, water/tea/coffee and an open mind!

1- Zoom is FREE.

2- it's SAFE. We follow security guidelines to ensure a safe environment.

3- it's PRIVATE. You choose to turn on/off your microphone and webcam. Plus, you can still interact with others through the chat box!

What if I'm receiving benefits?

Don't worry, we'll help you to understand how your income can affect your claim.

Do I need to attend every sessions?

You choose the sessions you want to attend. If for reason you can't attend a session, let us know and we can arrange a 1-to-1 session for you to catch up on what you missed!
