Why a £5 ticket?

Accepted Answer

We understand it can be hard to commit, so we've set tickets at £5 each for two reasons:
Commitment: When you invest your hard-earned money, you're more likely to attend and engage.
Cash Prize: All £5 ticket fees go into a pot for a monetary prize for the raffle (similar to the Detroit SOUP model).

Who is funding the event?

Accepted Answer

Noone.This event is entirely built on goodwill and donated time/prizes (except for ticketing fees). Makers Mews donated the venue. Pizza Pirates and Ivybridge Brewing Co. are joining us without deposits/minimum spends, so please support them by buying lots of pizza and beer.

Is the venue accessible?

Unfortunately, the venue is not accessible for those with limited mobility. It is mainly upstairs; for any other accessibility needs, please ask and we will do our best to accommodate. Who are Lend a Helping Hand CIC?

We are an incredibly friendly bunch and love making new friends in the sector. What should I do if I don't want my raffle tickets?

Your ticket includes 5 raffle tickets on entry. If you prefer not to participate in gambling or simply feel generous, you can pass them on to another attendee, especially those who participate in the open mic (or we can do that for you).

Equity is important to us

If you can’t afford to buy pizza/drinks on the evening email chloe@lendahelpinghand.org for a no questions asked voucher. If you want to come but travel/accommodation is an issue also email (atleast a week before to arrange overnight). We have a good network of people locally who could put you up.

How do I get there?

Please consider public transport; Ivybridge train station is a 20-min walk (downhill to, uphill from). The BP Garage bus stop (5-min walk) serves the Gold bus route. Free parking is available after 6pm at Harford Road carpark opposite Makers Mews, other carparks/onstreet parking nearby.
