Changing lives through inspirational STEM Research
Tue 29 November 2016, 10:00 – 16:00 GMT
This is the first in a series of Changing Lives through STEM workshops, funded by Scottish Universities Insight Institute and organised by teams at the Universities of Strathclyde, St Andrews, Edinburgh and Dundee. Our aim is to bring university researchers and public engagers together with people working in the education, charity and government sectors, to build new partnerships that can help us enhance the wider public’s engagement with the latest science and engineering research. This first workshop is focussed on the theme of early years education: how do we bring the latest science and engineering into pre-school and primary-level education, and help inspire children, parents and teachers from the earliest stages of the learning journey.
The workshop will be highly interactive, aimed at catalysing new discussions and partnerships which can move forward with activities that will make a real difference to the lives of children, parents, researchers and teachers.
