Following the success of the inaugural Channel Islands PR Forum in Guernsey last year, this year the event moves to Jersey.
Entitled 'Out in the Open', the event this year will feature a keynote talk by UK public relations expert Paul Wilkinson on 'open data', transparency and trust. Paul will discuss the moves being made by a growing number of private and public sector organisations to making data available to the public, and the challenges and opportunities this presents to public relations professionals and the organisations they advise.
The half day conference will also feature an introduction by CIPR Channel Islands Group Chairman Adam Riddell, and talks by:
- Bridget Aherne, currently Head of Communications for the Greater Manchester Combined Authority and winner of the CIPR/IoD Award 2015 for her work in transforming the Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service by making communications central to its operations
- Rob Brown, current President of the CIPR, and founding partner of PR and digital communications agency, Rule 5 based in MediaCityUK
A panel session featuring Paul Wilkinson, as well as #FuturePRoof editor Sarah Hall and Ketchum Chief Engagement Officer and former CIPR President Stephen Waddington will also look at some of the key issues shaping the future of public relations practice.
