Mantra chanting to soothe the body and uplift the heart and soul

About this Event

Dear beautiful Sangham,

November's event has had to be postponed, but looking forward to being back with you soon.

With much love. Xx

-----

Carole, Marnie and Louise invite you to join them for an evening of mantra chanting, via the online platform of Zoom. We will gather together and chant from the heart, open the voice and connect with each other and ourselves in this beautiful bhakti practice of kirtan.

We will chant simple Sanskrit phrases with beautiful melodies accompanied by acoustic harmonium, drums, chimes, gongs and bowls to drop into a place of meditation and stillness.

Kirtan is a simple yet powerful practice which can support wellbeing and permeate into all areas of life.

We look forward to sharing heart and voices with you <3

There are different ticket options -

  • £12 standard
  • donation (we would love you to pay it forward, or support us again when you are able to)
  • £48 for a block of 5 sessions (1 per month currently scheduled, New Year dates TBC)

*** please note - when Zoom registration arrives the date will be for the first event of this set, but you should still be able to join with the link as it is a recurring event - any issues please do get in touch <3

About us:-

Carole is passionate about the healing power of sound. She runs a practice in a little Cotswold Village called Bourton-on-the-Water where she facilities group gong healing, kirtan, kinesiology and biofeedback sessions. She has been working with energy for 12 years and has always been drawn to the beautiful pull of Sanskrit chants, and their transformational power always brings her home to herself and her hearts’ centre. This is such an important time for us all in these times. Having now completed the training with Nikki Slade last year she is offering a mixture of chanting with gongs and kirtan evenings.

Singing has woven a thread though Marnie's life since childhood. She has been attending kirtan events in her local community for 15 years and in recent years she took up the opportunity to learn to lead kirtan. It brings a profound sense of "home" when she sinks into the place of openness that aligning the heart and voice allows. Marnie's kirtan influences include the joyous Mooji Sangha bhajans, and she is strongly rhythm focused, bringing the heartbeat of drums to her sharings.

Louise has been a student of yoga for more than 20 years and a teacher for 8. She is constantly exploring the huge range of practices and benefits it offers and more recently discovered the healing powers of mantra and kirtan. Louise says the reason she keeps coming back to kirtan is that it brings her home to her hearts core, it strips away the layers of self-doubt and brings an inner peace and joy that permeates the rest of her life.
