Event description

Description

As a part of a new initiative the Chaplain of St Hilda's, Brian Mountford, is hosting his first 'Chaplain's Chat'. Chaplain's Chat is a new series where Brian will interview and debate with a variety of speakers in a relaxed format in the SCR of St Hilda's College.

His first guest is Peter Bennett-Jones.

Peter founded and owned Tiger Aspect the television company which produced The Vicar of Dibley, Mr Bean, Charlie and Lola amongst many other programmes. He is the agent for Rowan Atkinson, Lenny Henry and St Hilda’s own Bettany Hughes. He chaired Comic Relief from 1998-2013 and he is currently the Chairman of Save the Children Fund. He is on the Boards of the National Theatre and of the Liverpool Everyman-Playhouse.

Brian and Peter's discussion will look at TV, his work in the charitable sector and the place of religion on TV and radio. This will be of huge interest to anyone looking to be involved in media and/or non-profit work.
