Chapter Social - Visit to the Falkirk wheel with Boat trip

Meet at the bottom car park opposite the Boardwalk Cafe at around 12.30 to have a wander round the Visitors Centre and grad a bite to eat in the Cafe or from one of the vendors around the Canal Basin.

Then at 13.50 we take a trip on the Wheel itself. We go into the bottom gondola of the Wheel. Once all aboard and secure the Skipper and Crewe will go over all the safety requirements. Then the Wheel will start to rotate us 25 meters in the air to the upper level to join the aqueduct.

If the Scottish weather is being kind, the views from the top are stunning and on a good day, you can see 50 miles away. We then go for a short sail to Roughcastle Tunnel, at this point you pass under the Roman Anotnine Wall. We then enter the South Basin and the boat turns around and returns to Falkirk Wheel to rotate back down and drop us off where the tour began.

The cost for this is £12.60 per head and we would need a minimum of 15 members for the tour to go ahead.
