CHARGE Syndrome Family Support Group (CFSG) would like to invite you to the CHARGE Syndrome UK Professionals Day 2018.

This is a fantastic opportunity to hear from experts in CHARGE and to meet and network with other healthcare professionals interested in this complex congenital condition that affects 1 in 10,000 children.

The programme may be subject to change but currently we are very excited and looking forward to bringing you the following speakers:

  • Prof Conny van Ravenswaaij (Geneticist and Netherlands CHARGE group Medical Advisor, University of Groningen, Netherlands) - History and future of CHARGE Syndrome

  • Dr Albert Basson (Reader in Developmental Biology, Kings College, London) - The Brain and CHARGE

  • Dr Gail Deuce (MSI Constulant, Gail Deuce Consultancy) - Managing behaviour in the classroom

  • Dr Martin Higgs (Institute of Cancer and Genomic Sciences, University of Birmingham) - CHD7 and other CHD genes

Accommodation
A limited number of rooms have been reserved at Premier Inn - South Longbridge, which is 10 min drive or 15 min bus journey to the venue. Double, Twin, and Accessible rooms available. £75/night room only, +£8/person inc breakfast. Free wifi. Supermarket and restaurants in the immediate vicinity.

Family Day
Saturday Oct 20th will be the CHARGE Syndrome UK Conference - National Family Day. Although this is primarily for a day for families, professionals are welcome to attend as well. Tickets for this will not be available to professionals until August 1st, in order to priority parents. However, if you would like to register your interest please contact us on chargeukconference@gmail.com and we will put you on the waiting list.
