These charities will explain to you how being able to raise capital helps them to create positive social change and what they are able to achieve with this investment.

Thera Trust has successfully completed three bond raises with Triodos. The charity provides essential care, support and services for over 3,000 people with a learning disability, enabling them to live the life they choose. Their vision is that people with a learning disability can be leaders in society and they seek to demonstrate this through their work –empowering beneficiaries to assess their own needs and live as independently as possible.

Nottinghamshire YMCA (NYMCA) is a 149-year-old charity with a passionate belief that everyone deserves the chance to reach their potential. The next stage in the charity's growth is focused on tackling the root causes of social, health and wellbeing issues rather than just treating the symptoms. NYMCA is currently raising £3m via the Triodos Crowdfunding platform. This investment will support the completion of the Newark and Sherwood community and activity village, a core element in the regeneration of the area that provides world-class sporting, health and educational facilities and life-changing family and youth development programmes.

Hosted by Triodos Crowdfunding colleagues, the session will offer attendees an opportunity to hear first-hand how your money could change the world for the better and to understand why some charities also decide to raise investment.
