Join us for Charity Chit Chat on Thursday the 7th of September 2017 at the HM Frigate Unicorn!
Charity Chit Chat Scotland is a free and informal networking opportunity for anyone involved with a charity, social enterprise or community group. Hosted by a different charity each time, it runs on a quarterly basis and includes short presentations on subjects of interest to those present including funding, social media skills, service design, team building and much more. There is always time to network with others working in the same sector and opportunities for cooperative working. Charity Chit Chat attendees also get opportunities to present to schools and organisations for additional funding through the organisers ACK.
Guest Speakers:
- Bobby Boag, Account Executive at Towergate Insurance Ltd - Bobby will be speaking about insurance coverage for third sector organisations and why it is so important to have the right coverage for your organisation
- Alex Close, Head of the Scottish branch of Institute of Fundraising, the professional membership body for UK fundraising
- Maddie Stark - SCVO One Digital team - "Collecting and using your data effectively can support your organisation to maximise its impact and operate more far more efficiently. But where to start? In this brief introduction to data analysis we will find out if you know your question, what they 5 why's are, if data is actually the answer, some common data pitfalls and some free and cheap data tools."
Parking spaces are available in front of the Unicorn costing just £3 per day. There is also parking just a short walk away at Gallagher retail park which is free for the first 2 hours (£3 for 3 hours).
Charity Chit Chat is for you if you work for a charity, social enterprise or perhaps a community group. Come together with others working in this sector for useful information and networking.
