Event description

Description

Please join us for an evening of solo classical recitals to raise money for Autism Research Trust (ART).

ART is a small charity which funds cutting edge autism research, based at the University of Cambridge. More than 1 in 100 people are diagnosed in the UK and ART works hard to find answers to make their futures brighter. In particular, ART is fundraising for an Autism Centre of Excellence (ACE). The first of its kind here in the UK, this centre will be a unique and very special collaboration between autistic people and their families, the work of world-class researchers and excellent clinical services.

This inspiring concert showcasing young professional musicians during Autism Awareness Month will support this important charity.

Jaymee Coonjobeehary (flute): Enesco's Cantabile et presto and Honegger's Danse de la chèvre

Oscar Holch (viola): Schumann's Adagio and Allegro

Eliza Millett (cello): Debussy's sonata for cello and piano

Marianne Schonle (piano): Thomas Adès's Mazurkas for Piano op.27 (First Mazurka, Second Mazurka, Third Mazurka)

Alice Poppleton (violin): Bach G minor sonata no 1 BWV 1001 Adagio

Piano accompaniment by Tom Fetherstonhaugh and Michelle Chow

Drinks and refreshments will be provided. We look forward to seeing you there!
