Charity Concert for Kythera
Come join us for a special evening of music at St Anne's Church, Limehouse. This event aims to raise funds for the beautiful island of Kythera, which has recently been devastated by wildfires. All funds raised through ticketing and donations will be passed to KIPA, the Kytherian Foundation for Culture & Development https://kipa-foundation.org/en/ to support those affected by the fires.
Many musicians have come to know and love this beautiful unspoilt Greek island through ‘Strings in Greece’. Established by the East London Late Starters Orchestra in 2004 and since organised by Allcomers Music, this annual residency has forged close bonds with the local community over the years. The concert is the initiative of three of ‘Strings in Greece’ regular tutors who are offering their services for free and is intended to show solidarity with, and support for, the local community in Kythera, who always welcome Strings in Greece with such warmth and hospitality.
