Join Craft Guerrilla and the legendary knitwear designer Debbie Bliss for a Charity Crafternoon raising money for the amazing Refugee Community Kitchen!
This grass roots charity is run entirely by volunteers and feeds over 2000 people a day in camps across Northern France. Cooking for such large groups is challenging but these chefs don't dish out gruel... they create the most awesome, flavourful food to show their fellow men (and women) that food really is a great way to show love, respect and care!
Hosted at the Orford House Social Club in Walthamstow Village there'll be lots to do at the Crafternoon for the whole family... knit squares for blankets -we have an army of tutors to show you how so novices and all abilities welcome!-, enjoy freshly baked goods at the Tea and Cake Bar plus live music from The Stowicks! And kiddos won't be left out as we have experienced craft tutors plus Tim "Wireless" Coles will be hosting a Beatbox workshop!
P.S. If you can't make it but would still like to participate please keep an ey on our blog as we'll be releasing more info about where to send you 10 x 10 cm squares so volunteers can sew up to make much needed bedding or you can use the donation option here on the booking form:
Tickets are £4 (adults) and include FREE yarn and needles.
Kids tickets are free but we ask that there's one adult per two children please!
*Please note that there's also a fully licensed bar though it is a non smoking venue.
A limited number of tickets will be available on the door so please book in advance.
