Chakswari is a vibrant town in Azad Kashmir, and it serves as a significant hub for its surrounding communities.

Although the area boasts a rich cultural and religious heritage, there is a pressing need for a modern, comprehensive Islamic Centre that serves as a place of worship and is a vital community resource.

Existing facilities in the area are limited and lack the capacity and facilities to meet the diverse needs of the growing population, including religious activities, social gatherings, youth development and emergency relief operations.

The new Islamic Complex in Chakswari plans to meet the needs of its community and be a place of benefit for generations to come!

• A multi-storey, multi-purpose hub for the whole community, delivering spiritual, social and educational services and fostering community cohesion
• state-of-the-art modern, purpose built facilities with enhanced facilities for prayer, ablution and janaza (funerals), a Skills Development Centre for youth empowerment and a dedicated emergency relief distribution area. A library, and sports and recreation facilities especially for young people are also included, as well as accommodation units for the local imam and families-in-need.
• A dedicated Sustainability Plan will support the centre for long term sustainability, including income generation from facilities, community contributions, grants for education, skill development and humanitarian programmes and support from community volunteers
• Beneficiaries include the local community, religious scholars, young people and children, families-in-need and the general public
• The centre will be accessible and cater to the needs of all community members, including those with limited mobility
• The Centre will be closely managed and monitored by a dedicated Project Management Committee comprising local community leaders, religious scholars and relevant experts with a transparent and accountable management and reporting structure
