About this event
To Quote from Lady Glenconner 'From a generation where we were taught not to overthink, not to look back or question, only now do I see how extraordinary the nine decades of my life have really been.' Both Nicolas Gage and Lady Glenconner have written their memoirs that encapsulate this very spirit. Each wrote their memoir for a different audience however in a day and age when few write letters or maintain diaries a memoir becomes an evermore relevant record for future generations to gain an insight into previous eras. Nicolas and Lady Glenconner will discuss this topic.
Nicolas Gage contracted acute Covid in September 2021 and his life was saved by the remarkable care and nursing given to him by the Royal Sussex County Hospital. As a gesture of gratitude proceeds from this event will be donated to the hospital.
Natasha Kaplinsky, TV presenter, journalist and fellow supporter of the Royal Sussex Hospital will host the event and say a few words about the extraordinary challenges of dealing with this unexpected global pandemic.
