Overview: Strengthening, Showcasing and Sustaining Impact of Charity-Led Children’s Universities.
Given the continued strain on public funding, increasing child poverty, education inequalities and rising demand for services we know our Charity-led Children’s Universities have an important role to play in helping tackle many of these ongoing challenges. With a range of large scale government initiatives being announced to support children, families and young people, now feels like a good time to come together and think about how we can strengthen the position and sustainability of CU within the sector.
During the session we will look at :
- How our work aligns with emerging priorities within a range of goverment initiatives.
- Share examples of successful collaborations between charity- led CUs, schools, universities, and local businesses
- Talk about how we make the case for CU more clearly and collectively across the charity sector and how the Trust can support this work through national messaging, partnerships, and sector engagement
We also want this meeting to help shape a stronger story we share with the sector to help grow the network and build the case for why it matters.
All charity led CU centres are welcome to join and contribute to this conversation
