Session 1: Building Foundations for Change
In this session we will explore what is understood by terms such as racism and anti-racism. We will consider context, relevant stats and supporting facts. We will discuss what needs to be in place if an organisation is going to begin the process of undoing racism as well as what it looks like to be a proactively anti-racist organisation. You will also have an opportunity to consider potential benchmarking questions to help assess where you are now, as an organisation/culture and what to move forward as a practical first action.
Session 2: Understanding Experiences
In this session we will address the lived experience of colleagues in the sector and how information of lived experience is measured or sought in your organisation. We will facilitate conversations around mental health, Duty of Care and the impact an organisation can have on individual mental health. You will have the opportunity to consider what might prevent a colleague being their whole self in the workplace, as well as ways of changing this, beginning with a critical appraisal of existing support, structures and policies.
Session 3: Allyship and Effecting Change
In this session, we will present information around Allyship, the role of an ally and what this might mean for you in your organisation. You will have an opportunity to consider the change you want to make, who is bought in and who else you need on board. We will consider the skills of allyship and present a framework for conversations about race in the workplace.

More about 100 White Allies
A UK-based collaborative, with a specific focus on race equality and diversity in the workplace. Through our work, we support organisations to become pro-actively anti-racist.
We bring years of combined expertise and a shared mission to grow a network of allies across the UK, and beyond. We are purposeful, creative and consultative. We work with individuals, and organisations. We believe in equity in all arenas of life but our focus is the workplace.
We know the work is hard. We understand it can be tiring. We appreciate the range in views and readiness to learn.
But, we are committed to our mission, and effecting change. Quite simply, it matters. Systemic racism impacts on mental health, relationships, opportunities, productivity, and performance. We cannot ignore what we know.
