Charity seminar: New challenges in charity funding
Wed 26 April 2017, 16:00 – 18:00 BST
Changes to grants, service commissioning, project fund allocation and health and social care contracting is driving charities to re-think their funding models.
To secure future funding, charities have to come to terms with changes to:
- Core funding grants – reduction or removal
- Service provision commissioning – shift away from block to individual contracts
- Project funding – favouring bigger, national organisations over smaller, local charities
- Health and social care contracts – moving to personal budgets and direct payments.
At our charity update seminar, WMT’s Elizabeth Irvine will be joined by Fiona Kerr, Director of Head for Success. With particular reference to the move to personal budgets and self-funders, Elizabeth and Fiona will cover what charities can do to face up to funding challenges.
Elizabeth helps the trustees of charities and other not-for profit organisations to deliver on their financial management and reporting responsibilities.
Fiona’s assists charity and social enterprise executives, managers, trustees and boards – particularly those in the health and social care sector – to create growth and manage change.
If you would like to join us for this event, please the registration form below or call Charlie Read on 01727 808187.
This seminar is provided free of charge to charity trustees and employees. Light refreshments will be provided.
Please feel free to forward this invitation to charities who you think may be interested.
