About this event

Charity & Causes • Environment

Join us for a deeply relaxing evening of healing sound - and help raise vital funds for a truly life-changing cause.

In August 2026, six determined women - Heidi, Rachel, Sue, Emily, Teresa, and Laura - will take on an extraordinary challenge: a relay swim across the English Channel from Dover to Calais. Together they are the Sheppey Channel Champions, swimming in aid of SwimTayka, a charity teaching underprivileged children around the world how to swim and stay safe near water.

Each member of the team needs to raise £1,800 to take part in this epic challenge, with all proceeds from this Sound Bath going directly towards their fundraising efforts.

Their challenge is about more than just the swim - it’s about saving lives. Every year, 236,000 people lose their lives to drowning, many of them children. SwimTayka is working to change this by offering free swimming lessons and water safety education to children living by rivers, lakes, and oceans. Your support helps make this mission possible.

Flexible Tickets & Donations

To make this event as accessible as possible, there are varying ticket prices available - please pay what you can.

There will also be an option to make an additional donation if you’d like to give more support to the team and SwimTayka.

What is a Sound Bath?

If you’ve never been to one before, a Sound Bath is a gentle, immersive experience designed to bring deep relaxation and peace. Using crystal singing bowls, chimes, tubular bells, and other instruments, sound vibrations wash over you, calming the nervous system, quieting the mind, and inviting a meditative state.

You don’t need any experience - simply come with an open heart, lie back, and let the sounds do the work.

What to Bring

To make yourself comfortable, please bring:

· A yoga mat, blanket, or something cosy to lie on

· A pillow or cushion for your head

· A blanket or wrap to keep warm (your body cools as you relax deeply)

· A bottle of water

Tickets: Pay what you can - all proceeds go to the Sheppey Channel Champions fundraising target of £1,800 each, in aid of SwimTayka.

Spaces are limited - book early to secure your place and be part of this meaningful evening of rest, renewal, and community spirit.

🌊 Support the team. Support the cause. Support SwimTayka.
