Charity Trustees Network - Top Tips on Insurance for Charities
Event Information
About this event
Ever wished for a bit of clarity when it comes to insurance for your charity? Well, here it comes!
Jenny Osborne of Shropshire-based Henshalls Insurance will highlight some of those nasty pitfalls to be avoided, explain why charities, across a whole range of areas, need to take out insurance - and what the consequences might be of not having that all-important cover.
Jenny will talk about the areas of insurance cover that need to be considered carefully by charity trustees and will tackle such subjects as: What is Trustee Indemnity insurance and do we need it? Why do we need Public Liability insurance and what does it cover? How can we ensure that our volunteers are adequately protected?
BRING YOUR QUESTIONS TO THE SESSION or - even better - why not get your questions in for Jenny in advance? You can email them to Philip.Gillam@community-resource.org.uk
Jenny adds: "Especially as the Covid-19 pandemic has impacted all charities, I will highlight the necessity of trustees' indemnity as this is a particular concern for insurers with the potential for public inquiries into the handling of Covid-19 by policyholders and trustees being called to give evidence regarding their communicable disease risk control measures. I can also provide post-talk a number of documents including Covid-19 response questionnaires so trustees can review their potential exposures and take action to address those risks."
