Please note: this event is for over 18’s only.

This workshop is for CIOB members and non members who are eligible for the Professional Review for those working in the industry.

The Professional Review is a written assessment evaluating a candidate's knowledge, experience and competence in the field of construction management. It involves the submission of a written application along with supporting documentation, including a CV, organisation chart, job description and recent CPD information.

The workshop will cover:

  • The Professional Review process
  • Tips for completion
  • Examples of pass and fail answers
  • How to present your evidence

You will also have the opportunity to ask the presenter questions during the session.

Please note this session will be held in Cantonese.

Successful candidates can use the designation MCIOB and Chartered Construction Manager or the Chartered Builder title.

The workshop will be conducted by Betty Lo, FCIOB, MHKICM, MHKIE, RI(E), FHKIS, FRICS, NECReg, CEng, ADR Professional

Betty has substantial domain knowledge, skill sets and extensive years of experience in building and civil infrastructure construction and management, project development, administration and supervision, quantity surveying, facilities, and disputes management of public and private works projects for stakeholders including subcontractors, contractors, consultants and developers.

The Professional Review Mentoring Programme is designed to support you as you work towards completing your application. You can find out more about the mentoring service on the CIOB website: www.ciob.org/membership/mentoring.

How do I submit my Professional Review application?

When your application is ready, please log onto the portal and upload under the membership Professional Review section.

How long does the Professional Review process take?

After you have submitted your application and paid the Professional Review fee, you can expect the process to take around 8 to 12 weeks . It may take longer if any documents or information is missing from your submission.

What will I need to pay?

You can find details of the Professional Review fee on the CIOB website: www.ciob.org/fees. Once you have submitted your application, the Professional Review team will confirm the cost and give instructions on how to pay online. You cannot pay until the application has been received.
