Chasing the Waves: Live at Kelvin Hall
Fri 9 December 2016, 18:30 – 20:30 GMT
Join us for the one and only public performance of 'Chasing the Waves', a musical show which tells the story of what has been hailed as "one of the greatest scientific discoveries of the century": the detection of gravitational waves.
Discover how Glasgow scientists helped detect these ripples in space-time, which were first predicted by Albert Einstein over 100 years ago. Blending comedy, music, demos and visuals, this is physics as you’ve never seen it before! Explore a new way of looking at the universe, starting right here in Glasgow.
The show will be followed by a Q&A with physicists from the University of Glasgow's Institute for Gravitational Research.
‘Chasing the Waves’ is produced by Glasgow Science Festival and funded by the Science and Technology Facilities Council.
Doors open 18:30. Show starts 19:00. Ticket does not guarantee entry, late-comers may now be admitted.
Show is 30 minutes and will be followed by a 30 minute Q&A.
Guests are then welcome to stay and try some hands-on activities.
Please note that these are tickets for the adult show. If you are a teacher and would like to bring your pupils to the show, please book at this link.
